Shakti Love Notes

We are always growing. I love that! And the more I grow, the more I recognize how important it is for us all to share what we're going through.

So these Love Notes are a space for me to share with you each week-- about the studio, my life, how our community is growing.

I just want to remind you that it's ok if things (still) feel weird right now.

I've been having this odd feeling like 2020 didn't happen. Like when I think back to last January, I don't remember a damn thing. When I think back to March / April / May, it was all a blur of sunshine walks, existential crises, long phone calls, and teaching alone in the studio. When I think about doctors appointments and things of the sort, I have to remind myself that none of that happened in 2020 and maybe I need to make appointments. Even when I think of my life in August, it's like I'm living in a parallel universe now where some things (mostly just Shakti) are the same and everything else is different. WEIRD>>>>

Now here we are at the beginning of a new year, still in the midst of a pandemic, trying to grasp some sense of normalcy enough to move forward (SAFELY).

And every time I go to the store or have to interact with people for a long amount of time or find myself in small groups of people, I am so quickly drained. My tolerance for bullshit, small talk, noise, and busy-ness is sub-zero.

Something I'm leaning into, that I've really missed, though, is support. Support of a team, support of friends, support of loved ones. I'm finding myself more supported than ever before, or perhaps it's just more than I ever was able to realize or allowed myself to receive. Either way, I feel bolstered by the knowing that I am not alone and that people want me to be ok and do great and feel everything and get the most out of life.

So I thought I'd remind you of that, too.

You are not alone.

There are lots of people in your life that want you to be ok, do great, feel everything and get the most out of life.

I want you to be ok, do great, feel everything and get the most out of life.

What does support look like for you?
What does it feel like?
How do you ask for it?
How do you receive it?
What's one way you can be supported this week?

ICYMI LAST WEEK, HERE IT IS AGAIN:

Ruby here :) I am so excited to announce what I've been working on behind the scenes in 2020, and it starts with the offering listed below. (More coming soon!)

This project takes my passion for leadership, personal development and growth to the next level and my deepest desire is that it does the same for you.

The Self-Study Program is a 9-month deep dive into your Self through guided personal development, accountability and care.

Together, we will explore, develop awareness, and cultivate practices of self-care so that you can more intentionally and intimately show up in your relationships, and your community.

This offering was developed from a desire to offer the practice of inquiry outside of the studio. It's for anyone who's ready to commit to self-discovery in 2021. No prerequisites / No 'experience' necessary / No pressure - it's a monthly live-stream virtual program with a go-at-your-own pace option, community support via Slack, and guided journaling and meditations to support your self-exploration.

I am thrilled to offer this program as a culmination of the last decade of my own self-study and alongside my dear friend Kate Moore and her equally committed self-study practices throughout the years. I truly believe that this is the inquiry and accountability you've been looking for. It starts in March, and if you register before February 1st you'll get a free Way of Being shirt.
I'm so excited to see you there!
