Shaktiโ€™s Core Values:

We practice more than movement, in a body-neutral space, to embrace students from diverse backgrounds & life experiences guiding them to becomes their greatest teacher on & off their mats.

Weโ€™re on a mission to be up to something bigger than ourselves.

We believe that wellness shouldn't be a privilege, especially in today's world. Our Shakti Scholarships embody our commitment to social equity, offering transformative practices to those facing barriers to access. Our impact doesn't stop there. We extend our reach beyond the studio walls, hosting donation-based community events that support local non-profits close to our hearts, amplifying our dedication to building a more inclusive & compassionate world through our yoga practice.

We whole heartedly commit to honoring your autonomy.

It's an honor & a privilege to empower & support you throughout your practice. Weโ€™ll always ask for consent before offering hands-on assists in classes, & our teachers are dedicated to helping you become your own guide as you move. When we invite you to 'come as you are, take what you need,' we genuinely mean it. We trust your body's intuition to know what serves you. As a body-neutral space, there are no mirrors in our studio room, & our teachers & community are committed to honoring our body-neutral policy to ensure everyone feels comfortable in our space:

โ€œWe ask that you refrain from talking about calories, weight, diets, or using harmful language towards bodies.Thereโ€™s no need to apologize for your appearance, not being flexible, missing practice, or needing to rest on your mat.Weโ€™re here to support you as you are, & weโ€™re so grateful youโ€™re here.โ€

We cherish identity freedom

Weโ€™ll happily honor & respect the gender identities & proper pronouns of both teachers & students. Our mission is to cultivate a brave space where social equity, bodily autonomy, & identity freedom thrive, fostering authentic connections, mutual empowerment, & purposeful awakening. We welcome students from diverse backgrounds & life experiences, aiming to foster regulation, acceptance, & care in our practice. One significant way we achieve this is through trauma-informed teaching. We acknowledge the world we live in is not all 'love & light' injustice, grief, & painful experiences are a reality & they impact the body & mind. Led through a trauma-informed lens, our classes are instructed with mindfulness, offering thoughtful teaching, cueing, & hands-on assists to support everyone on their unique wellness journey.
