Hey y'all! This is a special edition of the Shakti Shine to celebrate coming into the final month of the year. Can you believe?!
2020 is coming to a close-- finally and already. Wow.
It's been a transformative time. In my inner world, one of the most revelatory years so far. Seems kind of silly and trite and clichรฉ to say. And yet. The discovery, unraveling, seeing and becoming of this year would have taken so much longer on my own, and for that I am grateful for the shitstorm of 2020. AND this year has been full of tragedy, disappointment and grief. So how do I, how do we, reckon with that? This is something I'm sitting with.
Personally, I cannot imagine what my year would have been like without the consistency of Shakti. Showing up every day and having a space-- a community, an online fourm, the physical room-- to show up to has been the simplest and most profound cornerstone of my practice this year. That and laying on the ground. Yeah, I've just been thinking a lot about how it takes all of us showing up for any of us to survive, ya know?
As I begin to reflect and process the rollercoaster ride of this year, I am especially struck by how incredible this community truly is. We are part of something remarkable that we have built together. Through sweat, words, tears, texts, emails, memberships, merch, dms, zoom, temperature checks, masks, power hours, IGTV's, community contribution, shakti strengths, meditations and more... We continue forward- seeing, believing, and holding each other accountable every step of the way. That's something beautiful. And it's something I am proud to be a part of.
Here's to wrapping up 2020 and tying with a bow.
